One - it is now quite late, but now I can go to sleep, having reached a stopping place in my story.

Ooh, it is such a beautiful story! You’re building it perfectly! I would have to be a sociopath not to identify with the feelings expressed in it.
Sadly, Santa Monica just passed another ordinance to keep the homeless off the streets by forbidding them to sleep in doorways. No other solution. Just a sign reading "Get Lost". Our society is sick. We do have enough resources for all. We can see to it that people have a place to sleep at nights. So why don’t we?
