June 20, Thursday. We briefly

Posted in: Uncategorized

June 20, Thursday.

We briefly interrupt this narrative to bring you a question. It has come to the notice of the narrator that there have been no comments at all for some weeks. This in itself does not disturb her, as she is not one of those blogletdytes who lives and dies by the comment (:-P) but she does have this question: Are people reading this? Have the non-BLT readers given up on this bloglet entirely after its long hiatus? Is the populace bored out of their minds by reading what amounts to an extremely internal narrative? This need not be construed as a command to comment, I am just curious.

  1. Martin remarked:

I have a confession. Until this particular entry, I kept on saying, "well, I’ll catch up on Katherine’s bloggage when I have a bit more time." But now I catch up, I do!

  2. Kristin remarked:

    I just usually do not have anything to say. That’s just me. ^-^;

  3. Fafner remarked:

Personally, I’ve been finding the recent entries on the Italian trip some of the most fascinating stuff on the blogmass. I jump and coo every time I see a new entry. I know I’m not a non-BLT-er, so maybe it doesn’t count, but… please keep it up.

  4. The Haiku Hacker remarked:

    If one person’s voice
Speaks, if one person’s ear hears
    Blithely, I write on.

  5. Moss remarked:

    I like it too.

  6. Beth remarked:

I have been reading with great interest and enjoyment.

  7. Deborah remarked:

I rarely have anything to say besides, "Cool!" or "Heh!"

  8. Moira remarked:

I really like your writing (especially all the Italy parts), but the format kinda drives me buggier than batshit.

  9. Moss remarked:

Yeah, I’ll second Moira’s objection to the format. And I designed it.

  10. The Haiku Hacker remarked:

Since there is a consensus, let the format be gone!

…wait, I’m still the Haiku Hacker. That should have been poetical.

  11. The Haiku Hacker remarked:

Alas, the only things I can hack are haiku. My helplessness in the face of code is truly sad and pathetic. Hang on, readership. Change is coming, one way or another.

  12. Moss remarked:

    In the warm autumn,
    memories of summer past–
    A change of layout.

  13. Tanya remarked:

I really really enjoy each new entry. I have often had the impulse to comment, but then I feel like I’m interrupting the flow of the story. I feel like if any particular bit got filled with silly comments then the story as a whole would be…somehow detracted from. (is that a real word?) anyway, I enjoy it.

  14. Tori remarked:

I’ve actually sort of been waiting for the Italy thing to end. I do like your writing, but somehow it’s…I don’t know. I like hearing about people’s trips in person, or while you were on it, but something about it this way…I can’t explain it.

  15. Flash remarked:

For myself, I tend to gloss over longer blog entries, supposedly on the basis that I will read them later. In the old format, though, the entries disappeared fairly quickly, leaving me with the guilty feeling that I don’t read your blog.

P.S. I really like the new format.

  16. Moira remarked:

New format ROCKS! And I always love reading about Italy, especially travel/self-searching narratives.
