Roy has been heard to remark that any Jewish holiday can be summarized:

1: They tried to kill us
2: We won.
3: Let’s get drunk and have a party!

After attending the Scottish games, I think that the attitude of the Scots can be summarized:

1: They tried to kill us.
2: We - uh - well, we’re not dead yet!
3: Let’s ALL WEAR PLAID SKIRTS! Because WE STILL CAN, DAMMIT!
