Libby! I am sure you

Libby! I am sure you will be interested to know that today I was at the Scottish Games in "http://www.vascottishgames.com"> Alexandria, Virginia. I saw the sword dancers (a surprising number of them looking like you; blond and long-haired, with small slender frames and a sprinkling of freckles). My aunt and uncle were piping and drumming, which was my excuse for driving up there to visit them.

What a lot of people in kilts!

   I think what I love best about the Games is all the bagpipes everywhere. I can’t get them out of my head for three days afterwards, and when they have all of the bands come together for one giant song at the end of the day, it’s just incredible. I’ve gone to the games in Portland every year since I was a baby, but this was the first year since I can remember that I haven’t been a competitor. I used to do the dancing, and after I quit that I started bringing my fiddle, but this year I just went as a spectator, and it was so much fun. I love being Scottish!
