FRIDAY THE SEVENTH

Midmorning: Flight
Noon: Fiumicino airport - difficulties with telephones - creative use of a hat - trains
Late Afternoon: Baths of Diocletian
Evening: Roman churches - Santa Maria ad Martires - the concert - effects of sleepiness on the auditory sense.

SATURDAY THE EIGHTH

Morning: Toiletries- churches - piazze - beggars

MONDAY

Morning: Transportation difficulties - the Pantheon - the fountains of Rome - I buy provisions at last

Afternoon: the Vatican forgone - sleep and recover.

    I was just reading over the slew of entries you’d posted since I last checked the blogs, and couldn’t help turning to my sister and saying "You know, I can’t imagine not knowing Katherine. She’s absolutely delightful. I should figure some way for you to meet her. Katherine is one of those delightful people that everyone should meet."
